Getting Started with Allorc

A complete walkthrough for a brand-new user — from signup to your first chat with the AI worker.

Getting Started with Allorc

Allorc gives you an AI Worker — a digital employee with its own identity, memory, and tools. You talk to it like a teammate, and it does real work: email, scheduling, research, outreach, and more.

Your Worker Has Its Own Email Identity

When you create your worker, you choose a name and an email prefix. For example:

  • Worker name: Nora
  • Email address: nora@ai.allorc.com

This email is your worker's identity. People can email your worker directly, and your worker can send email on your behalf — using its own mailbox, signature, and reply-tracking. You don't share credentials; the worker is an independent actor with its own inbox (ai.allorc.com domain).

The email prefix must be unique across the platform — it's like claiming a username.

Your Worker Lives in Chat

Chat is your main workspace. This is where you and your worker communicate — it's a real-time conversation, not a ticket system. The worker streams responses as it thinks, calls tools, and shows you what it's doing.

From chat you can ask your worker to:

  • Send an email — "Reply to Sarah about the Q4 timeline and cc the team."
  • Schedule something — "Set a meeting with John for tomorrow at 2pm."
  • Find leads — "Find me 10 SaaS companies in Berlin hiring for sales roles."
  • Manage tasks — "Add a task to review the proposal by Friday."
  • Research — "Look up our top 3 competitors and summarise their pricing."

Everything the worker does happens in the open — you see tool calls, searches, and email drafts as they happen in the Openloop feed.

Organise Work with Spaces and Projects

Work is organised into Spaces (companies or organisations) and Projects (focused bodies of work inside a space).

To onboard a project:

  1. Create a Space — this is your top-level container (e.g. "Acme Inc.").
  2. Inside that space, create a Project — a specific scope of work (e.g. "Q4 Outbound Campaign").
  3. Add context to the project: files, team members, customer info, and notes. The worker reads this context to understand the project's goals.
  4. Start chatting about the project — the worker already knows who the stakeholders are and what the project is about.

Each project has its own:

  • Memory — the worker remembers past conversations and decisions per project.
  • Files — upload documents, spreadsheets, PDFs.
  • Skills — enable specialised abilities (email automation, lead research, calendar management).
  • Python environment — the worker can run code sandboxed per project.

Configure Your Worker in Settings

Open Settings (the gear icon in the sidebar) to control:

Section What you can do
Agent Change your worker's name, swap the AI model (GPT, Claude, etc.), update the email signature.
Integrations Connect Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Notion, Zoom — the worker uses these to act in the real world.
Subscription See your plan, usage, billing history, and upgrade or cancel.
Usage Monitor AI credits, outbound email count, and storage used.
Storage Manage project files and uploaded documents.
Account Update your name and email, or delete your account.

Integrations are key. Without connected apps, your worker can chat and hold memory — but it can't send email, create calendar events, or post to Slack. Install the integrations relevant to your workflow.

How It All Fits Together

You talk to your Worker in Chat
        │
├── Worker uses its email (nora@ai.allorc.com)
        ├── Worker reads/writes Project memory
├── Worker calls connected Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Slack…)
└── Worker runs skills (lead research, scheduling, email campaigns)

Your worker is always on. It monitors inbound email, responds to requests, and acts on scheduled tasks — even when you're not in chat. You can jump in at any time to guide it, ask questions, or change direction.
